  • Can I use a Slp cold air lit to enhance K&N FIPK?

I was wondering can I use a Slp CAI with K&N FIPK? I would think I would have to do some modifications with the heatshield, but would it benefit it? More cold air from the bottom? Thanks

Anything you can do to make it get colder air, or keep the air cold, including ridding of the rubber elbow, is going to give you an improvment. Weather its noticible or not is not so likely. But if it in turn causes easier flow or cooler air, you are making it work better.

Yeah, I actually got the idea off of your post. I was wanting to get rid of the Fipk and getting a Slp CAI, but if I can save money and just add on to it I would do that. That sh*t cost me $340. Yes! Let me know how it goes and see if you can get some pics of the instal if you can. That would help too. Thanks.

Is the rubber elbow the black piece in between. What is that called?
