to start out i already had the fipkII installed
heres the SLP Ram Air (i painted mine black because the chrome didn't flow well with the black heatshield)
the SLP is lined up and fitted..
the SLP is then installed when it lines up good

Reason: added to the title
This is the really trcky part where you have to measure alot! you need to measure everything out so you can cut the hole in the heatshield.. i just used a pencil
start hacking away at it.. a 4 1/2 inch grider works best..
theres the hole cut out.. a little rough so i had to come up with something besides sanding it down and refinishing it...
oh yah!!! i knew the cheapo walmart door guards would come in handy for something besides hondas..
Trim it up to fit hey don't look the greatest but better than the rough edges..
the heat shield installed....looks pretty nice.. eh
hook the fipk II back up and enjoy the added power!
the gain wasn't insane or anything but it was there you could tell the gain.. a little more torque it made up for the torque that i lost from the throttle body space it was money well spent i hope this helps some of you guys out let me know if you have any questions..
Man, that's looks great. I think I'm going to do that soon. Will it make up for the SS hood. I plan on getting that too. Or both would work well.
What year is yopur car? Did you take out the screen to your throttle body?
the car is an 01 and yes i took the screen out i had to it was damaged badly and restricting air flow and btw i have a ss hood to so i have air being pulled in from every which way!
if you need any help with the heatshield cutting wise just aim me IamSuperFrankie is the AIM
I think it helps a little, but I would say get the austin ss addon for it, then it would scoop up alot more air. Then you have the ss hood, it would be like ram air city, lol
