I was wondering if anyone with a 93 - 95 3.4L firebird has tried to do a custom ram air intake by cutting out the little black pieces in the front bumper(the ones inside of the little dips that look like there should be holes there) and using the opening as a way of forcing air into the intake via a tube of some kind. Has anyone tried this and successfully done it? If so can I see some pics? And how much of a difference could you tell on you top end improvements if any? Just a thought.

Re: Custom Ram Air Intake?
well thats where your bumper support it. and with all the bends you would need to make to get it around the radiator it would render it pretty much useless as far as ram air. just go get an intake that drops the filter down in the hole under the stock air box and don't cut the car up.95 Firebird
http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/673250
http://photobucket.com/albums/y217/andrewbrandon19/

me on a good day------> linky

Re: Custom Ram Air Intake?
I looked into doing the same thing on my Camaro 3.4, same issue came up in order to do it so it would do some good, it would require such massive modification to my hood and engine compartment, that I changed my mind and got an SLP Cai.1995 Camaro 3.4 A4

CAI,IAT Relocate
