  • SLP or Fast Toys?

I was just wondering if there is a difference between the SLP and the Fast Toys ram air intake. If so then which is better? Are they equally as simple to install, and which has the better overall performance? Also I have a 1998 firebird

fast toys will give you a little bit better performance, and it is harder to install

Better like 1-2 hp or noticeable difference?
Also with either one - is there any risk of sucking water when it rains?
I live in Florida, so it's a valid concern. I was also thinking of installing a billet aluminum grill ( http://images.channeladvisor.com/Sel...GRI-XD-606.jpg ) which (if I'm not mistaken) will allow more air to the radiator than the stock plastic one. If that's true, then the risk of water up the intake is even more a concern. What part of the design accomodates the risk?

The radiator gets its air from underneath the car, thats what that big plastic air dam is doing down there. Once you rip off the stock plastic grill you'll see there is only a styrofoam bumper thing back there, infact if you look under the hood you'll see theres also a big black plastic shield that would block any air flow from the grille getting to the radiator anyway. Billet grilles are really just for show.
