  • Performance diff btw straightpipe and catback

Tried To search but couldn't really find a solid answer. Basically Would I see a big performance differance btw running a straight no cat pipe versus running a cat back system like the rumbler.

I think you've got it a bit confused. You are asking questions about 2 different pieces of the system.

    First, there's the cat.

    Cat: Cat or straight pipe

    Then, there's the cat-back exhaust

Cat-back: Setups like the rumbler, loudmouth, etc.

Nothing you'll notice. !Cat = ****tier exhaust tone on the V6's.

From all of the different setups i've had, I don't think i've ever noticed a difference in performance from any sort of exhaust.

straight pipe will flow better... with headers/straight/and a nice catback you'll be able to feel a good difference

            What I mean is:
A Straight pipe all the w3ay back with a muffler installed

            Vs.

Using a High flow cat with a catback system

SO is there a difference btw a straight pipe versus an exhaust system

yes, straight pipe will be louder, sound crappyer and might make .2 more horse power. just get a high flow cat, they flow almost as good as a straight pipe anyway.

maybe on your car it sounded like ****, but it sounds good on mine

performance wise, i noticed a lil better acceleration and more top end
