  • Does Everyone with Pacesetter's get o2 Slow to Respond Codes?

I installed my pacesetters about 2 weeks ago and put 2 new o2 sensors at the same time. Now I'm getting these codes p0133 and p0153 both are "slow to respond".

I've done some searches and a lot of people seem to have had this problem. Most of the posts end on getting an o2 sim... but you can't put a sim on these sensors and I already have a sim after the cat.

This is going to drive me nuts and I need to get it fixed for the Massachusetts Enhanced emissions test. Has anyone been able to solve this without getting a tune?

I hope to hear more on this as I will be installing some Pacesetters soon. I don't need to see any issues crop up when done.

I've never had any codes for o2's pop up on my car and it still has the stock o2's.I've had my pacesetters on for two years now.

My 97 3.8 has SLP cold air, pacesetter headers, and full 3" exhaust w/ a highflow cat and all the O2 sensors are in place and working, no codes. (knock on wood)

i've got pacesetters, i don't use any o2 sims and i haven't set any codes off, except for an egr code which went away after a little liquid gasket.

I installed the Rk sport headers and threw a code for bank 1 sensor 1. I just replaced with with a new bosch sensor and erased the code with a scan tool. I've only driven the car 15 miles since I replaced it and no new code. Try putting in the original o2 sensors.

I have pacesetters, I sometimes get a bank 2 sensor 1 heater code but it doesn't trigger the SES light or anything. I can just see it pop up on my hp tuners. I think it is in my wiring though because I tried another stock 02 sensor and it was still there. No biggy to me cause it still runs fine and a/f is all good

i was getting a code, and i even tested the o2 sensor with a sensor tester and torch to make sure it was still working. it was, but eventually i got a new one anyway, and the code went away. fresh sensors seemed to do the trick for me.

I got the same codes when I got headers. I got the pcm tuned and that fixed my problem.
