  • im going to buy an exhaust.. i need ur help

Ok, I see alot of people with flowmaster exhaust on their cars, and little with the rumblers.

The only video i could find of a rumbler is this: http://media.putfile.com/Picture-01713/320

and i can tell you right now, i DO NOT want my car to sound like that, it sounds way too high pitched for my liking.

How expensive is the SLP? How do they sound?

When i get my exhaust kit, thats all i want to get, is a kit, and where i can install it. I dont want to fuss around with "s" pipes or whatever, i dont want to have to buy tips, i want it to come with the kit. I will be installing this MYSELF, no shop, so i want everything to come with it.

I want my tips to be circular, like this: http://www.zracer.com/camaro/images/rear.jpg

I dont want those rectangle ones, just 2 circular tips (I dont care if it is cut diagonally)

Loudness? I guess i really dont care about loudness, but i dont want it to be TOO loud (some guy on my street has a mustang that wakes me up when he goes up the street, it pisses me off so much)

Im not concearned with rasp, as long as it is in the higher RPM's.

So what are my options here?

    Thankyou.

that car has a cam in it, yours wont sound anything like that. and all he does is idle? its not high-pitched at all, it sounds amazing. i know the flowmaster( american thunder) comes with the S pipe, i think the magnaflow does too ( 2.5'' kit ) the way it seems, you shouldnt get the rumbler or the loudmouth, they will be more than likely too loud.if you think that clip of the rumbler sounds bad, well then your on crack, i have a couple clips of the rumbler saved, i just dont know how to get the link for them. there was a thread, by "Question" where he posted a number of vids, inside and outside, and "stevethepirate" post a clip of the rumbler too. search and your'll find it. i think the name of it was something like "comparison between stock VS rumbler" or something like that. search and your'll find it in two minutes.any exhuast thats MADE for the v6 will come with an S pipe, the ones that are made for the v8(LS1) will need an S pipe to make it work, unless its a LT1 exhuast.

here, im bored. clips of the rumbler.

i have two more, i can email them to you if you want, i cant figure out how to post links. if i were you, id just get the flowmaster, so it comes with the S pipe, im not sure if it comes with tips or not, but im sure you can go to autozone and get cheap tips for it.

    loudmouth - http://media.putfile.com/99v6camDrive

    magnaflow - http://media.putfile.com/kasey001 http://media.putfile.com/kasey002 http://media.putfile.com/kasey003

id get the magnaflow over the flowmaster, ive heard both in person and i wasnt impressed with the flowmaster.here you go,even has your round tips. http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/s...merican&id=265 that kit is 2.5" so it wont be annoyingly loud or raspy, id still suggest a high flow cat, but thats up to you. magnaflow even has sound clips on their site : http://www.magnaflow.com/04sound/domestic/camarol.htm

Both of those Magnaflow clips from their website have a v8 in them not a v6. If you look at the links on the v8 kits it has the exact same video.

can you guys tell me how loud the TSP rumbler acually is?

Some people who want me to get it are like "nahh, its quiet" and when i see people do reviews about it they are always like "It will def. wake your neighbors up"

So whats the deal? I dont want a loud muffler, i want a nice sounding one

its loud, but you can get the rumbler, then swap out the bullet muffler for a borla and it should sound really nice, and a LOT cheaper than borla's cat back.

No it won't sounds like the borla catback because the catback usues a full muffler whereas he's talking about putting a borla bullet muffler in place of the tsp one. I think the rumbler will end up being too loud for you based off your posts on here and on other boards. Something you might not have looked into yet is Edelbrock exhaust. It is a very very good sounding exhaust and rasp is just about non-existant (just ask anyone else who has had it). The only thing is that you will have to take it to a shop and have them hack away at the i-pipe to make it full 3". Yes that is easy to do, if you have even the slightest welding skills you can do it on your own.
