what are the best headers as far as price : power gain ratio?? i have a 1996 camaro with the 3.8L V6 and i'm having trouble finding many options...is it even worth it to replace? or should i just save up for an LT1?

Well, one thing for sure... You won't get LT1 power with just headers. Not even close. But what you will get is good gas milage and cheaper insurance (no brainer).

If you search, Pacesetter headers is your company and usually are $300 per pair.

Headers are a worthy upgrade on the pre tubular manifold 3.8s which yours is. Is the rest of your exhaust upgraded?

CIA makes probably the best quality headers for the 3.8 however they are expensive and have smaller primaries than the other 2.

Pacesetters are the best bang for the buck you can get them in both coated and uncoated, however coating them (which reduces heat, and strengthens them) costs extra.

RKSports are the middle of the road as far as price go. A lot of people had problems with them leaking, however I never really had an issue with mine.

Like mentioned above as long as the rest of your exhaust is done Pacesetters are probably the way to go.

If your whole exhaust is stock, it's generally a good idea to start at the back and work your way to headers. You might also want to get an intake first. But people usually go catback, then S pipe and Cat, and then headers.

No, you have the same muffler as the single exit one. The only difference is that yours has 2 pipes coming out of it.
