dual turn down tip???

[99 RS Camaro]

ok ive been kinda thinkin about cutting my exhaust tips off and just having turn down tips put on, but a couple inches before the rear bumper(where its hidden, i dont want to be able to see exhaust tips), jus wonderin how this might sound? anyone else have this??? i just got back from the exhaust shop where i would do it and he said it would be louder, of course, but also be more recognizable as a v6, which, if it sounds decent, i dont care, but if its gonna sound like ****, i dont want to do it...........comments please????

I'm curious about this too, I've been thinking of doing this same thing but didn't think about it changing the sound. Does it?

Yeah, it changes it a little because of the way it reflects off the ground. Other than that I don't know what to tell you really. It will probably sound better I think, but anything with exhaust sound is just preference.

i too have thought about this, becuase i dont like tips on camaro's. like rawr said the sounds going to go to the ground rather than back, interior drone might be worse maybe, i dont really know. but if you do it post up your review becuase there's a few us of interested.

well i think im gonna hold off for a week or so as cash funds arent there for me to be throwing around money on anything other than neccesities, plus id kinda like to hear from someone on here who has it done, if anyone actually does...........thanks for the replies/comments
