what will Z28 do to the sound of your exhaust, will it muffle it, make it raspier:tdown: .....or what, thanks.....

well, It won't change the sound much but it will effect it a little. I wouldnt sweat it too much.

Just had a set of these installed today and I noticed when I rev the motor, the exhaust is noticeably louder. I'm thinking this is because the tips are directed outwards rather than turned down.

I have a Z28 catback including the tips, and my car sounds pretty good.

The only small difference you may notice is at idle.(small difference)
Revs and under load will sound the same.

I like the tips b/c they're discreet.-appearance

Had the car out for a while today. And there IS DEFINATELY a difference in sound. I would have NEVER thought that just putting tips on a stock Y87 exhaust would make a difference, but it does. Basically, the tips act as resonators and they are pointed outward instead of under the car. My car is a tad louder at startup and when I rev it. Definately a nice little mod for those who want a throatier sound without being obnoxious. Plus, it looks great!
