like the title says i have been gettin an exhaust rattle and been tryin to pin point it. i noticed that if i smack my muffler it sounds like the inside rattles around. ne1 know if its suppossed to ? thanx

No....It definitely shouldn't rattle. Make sure it's clamped together well and all that...your muffler might be going bad. How long have you had it?

itsall clamped just when u smack it underneath u can hear a rattle. as for age no idea bought the car w/ it

Check your exhaust hangers. My Borla squeaked every time I hit a bump from day one. Since I've had my headers, now it rattles every now and then too. I can live with the rattle and squeaks, its the leaking rksport headers that I can't.

i thought it was a hanger at first but then when i hit the muffler i immed thought that was the prob. where can u find new hangers ?

might be one of the sound walls or whatever their called inside the muffler

you probably have a pipe hitting a brace or something somewhere. check that and heat shields and such.

Probably cuz its a Flowmaster, lol. Ive never really liked them.
