  • 3.8L Headers

Would putting pacesetter headers on a 99 3.8L with a CAI and flowmaster exhaust make a big horsepower and performance difference because its a relatively cheap mod. Thanks

I also have pacesetters, full exhaust and intake and I did notice a difference and you might walk away from it with around 20-25ish hp

How long do pacesetters last because i know that headers are known to rust out after a couple years. So if anyone has had theres for more than a couple of years what condition are they in?

              Re: 3.8L Headers

I have had mine in for a year and they look great. The only part that rusts is by the Y-pipe underneath the car, and that is replacable. if you get these headers GET THE GM MLS HEADER-GASKETS!!!!! AND LOCKING HEADER BOLTS! you will thank me later when you exhaust isnt ticking 2 months after install.

HAHAHAHA! Indeed. I always go by footage. Longtubes are about 3ft so since the pacesetter are about a foot I say they're shorties and midlengths are about 2 ft. :)
