is there anyway to prevent rust on exhaust pipes? i've had the exhaust done for a week and the pipes coming from the muffler to the tips already have rust all over them!!! and its pissing me off.. is there anything i can coat it with? i was thinking of soel 1500degree ceramic coating in a silver color not sure that that will prevent the rust but it will look better for a little while..

they sell paint for exhaust pipes to coat and prevent rust. look on summit or jegs

even high temp clear coat. i bought high temp engine clear in a paint can from pepboys when i was painting my brake calipers for i think $5. spray a little of that on there and you'll be fine. one coat of that and you have the stainless steel look like before with a protective coat over it. you actually just made me decide to do mine when i hook up my cat this weekend.

I hate seeing silver pipes under the car, especially in the back, it just sticks out like a sore thumb.. so before the system is installed i get 2 cans of black BBQ grill paint and coat it all, and also spray the inside of the tips with the same thing too, even if they are stainless...
