What size cut out?

I am looking to get and exhaust cut out and I need to know wha size me pipe is. I think it is 3". I am thinking of putting the cutout right after the cat but if anyone else has any suggestions please do tell. I have a stock 99 firebird.

i would guess your I-pipe is 2.25" or (2 1/4). The exit on the cat is like 3" though.

I am looking atputting it as it comes out of the cat at the sraight part under the passanger door. I measured the pipe with a tape and from outside to outside it is 2.5 can anyone please confirm my assumption and if anyone has bought one for themselves can you please tell me what your size was. I am buying it later tonight.
