Ok weird question... I am putting a 95 3.4 into a 72 Opel GT. If you don't know what that is - it looks similar to a mini stingray Corvette. For weight distribution, the engine sits very near the firewall and the stock exhaust manifolds are interfering with the foot box on the drivers side. The Opel pedals are very close to begin with so I would rather not cut into this area.
I am contemplating switching the manifolds from right to left and routing the exhaust toward the front of the car and then down and under the engine and exiting out the rear like usual.
I do not have any accessories installed on the front of the engine right now - but I imagine the exhaust will have to be routed around the alternator and power steering pump.
Has anyone seen this done before? Any thoughts?
