I just got my K&N CAI for my 1994 3.4litre. I'm thinking next I'll change out the stock exhaust starting with the cat and then the muffler. My father is a welder by trade so I'll likely do the work in my driveway. I'm trying to save money, so do you guys think its a good idea to keep my stock pipes and just get pipe reducers to fit aftermarket cat and muffler or should I just wait and get all new larger pipes as well? Also are there any Canadians who know where to get the cheapest Flowmaster or other aftermarket performance exhaust mods from? I'm not interested in paying expensive duty for products from the States. Thanks in advance!

Re: keep stock pipes? + Q for fellow Canadians
using reducers will reduce your flow back to the original, so no gains for you. if you going 3" it has to be 3" from Y to tail. If you can do it on your driveway - just buy some 3" pipes and mandarel bends and do it.
Cheapest Flowmaster and other goodies are from States. Duty is nothing compare to 200%+ markup at the "performance" shop

I guess that's true if you wanna go 3" all around. I was probably going for something closer to the 2.25" stock however, but I know that its hard to find aftermarket hi-flow cats and performance mufflers at stock pipe sizes.
Also, will the catback in the following link fit my 94 3.4. Its made for 95-97 Z28s, but is there much modding to make it fit on a 3.4 litre?

that cat-back will fit on your 3.4 with out any problems, the smallest hi-flow cat ive seen are the 2.5" in/out ones.1998 bright red camaro ,M5 ,Y87 ,stock

Originally posted by Rune:
If it smells like a turd and looks like a turd, chances are its probably not a candy bar.
