  • 3" cat-back

i was wondering what i could do to my exhaust to get it to sound a little more throaty. I have a 3" edlebrock cat-back. or should i drop that and pick up a borla muffler?

do you just have a resonator, or an actual muffler?
from what i've heard, adding a muffler in place of the resonator helps a little bit. the best i can tell you is to do a complete exhaust (cat, headers) and try to get as much power as possible, thats the only way its ever going to sound closer to a V8.

You Do Not Loose Any Torque. It Just Doesnt Build Up For An Extra 500rpms Or So. So, If You Could Get A Good Launch At 1500rpms, Try Launching At 2000rpms. You Gain Horsepower At The Top End Of Your Powr Band. Stop Coming Into My Forum And Telling These People You Lose Torque. If Your So Sure Of Yourself, Prove It With A Dyno Biatches!

I've notice with my Borla 3" catback, that I lost a little low end power. But it is made up for in the gains you make in the higher rpms. I don't think I lost any torque, actually I think I gained. Tires really spin now.
