  • Quick Pacesetter Question?????

Right Now I Have Magnaflow Exhaust And I Plan On Installing Pacesetter Headers. Will My Car Be Fine With Just Those Two Mods? Or Do I "need" To Install Parts As Well? If So, Please Explain Why? Thank You Guys!!

    Re: Quick Pacesetter Question?????

im a little confused on what your asking exactly. do you have the stock cat? if so i'd replace that, or get rid of it. it'll make it easyer to install and it'll sound and make more power. you dont really need any parts, locking header bolts wouldnt be a bad idea, or better gaskets.

Is ftpp.net the only place to get the locking header bolts? Summit sells stage 8 but dont know which to get. Trying to find them cheaper than ftpp.net(about $58 shipped there).

Also nilly I would recommend the abbott header gaskets. Just ordered me some. http://abbottracingheads.com/ Email him about them. $35 shipped

what do you mean you dont know which one's to get? like what size? good gaskets are more important than locking bolts IMO, if you have good gasket's just keep checking the bolts and re-torq'ing if needed. i agrre, $58 does seem like alot of money for some bolts, but they can save you some headache's.

I got the Stage 8 bolts from Summit. They are nice. I stripped one of the bolts on the installation of the headers, and wrote and email to Stage 8 and they sent me a couple extras, complete with the locks and everything. Do a search by application on the Stage 8 on Summit, that should find yours.

Yeah, like that, but it says these 4 will fit your 3.8L. http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...115+4294840130

FWIW: On my 2000, the correct size is 5/16-18 in. and not the 3/8-16 in. you have linked here.

Thanks for the correction on that jason.

nilly: CAI and high flow cat would be recommended to complete that setup.
