    making your own intake

    hey i was told making your own cold air intake is much better than say a slp or k&n. my buddy told me all you need is aluminum piping and a k&n cone filter and thats it. he said it performs better. what do you guys think?

    perform better, no. perform the same, possibly if made correctly.

    cost less...definitely
