      Re: Ceramic Headers Worth It?

Ceramic headers will flow a slight amount better because they do stay cooler. Is it worth the money dollar for dollar its like how much weight reduction is enough, if you arn't willing to get rid of your back seat, why bother taking out the ash tray?

It's just another thing if you want the best buy them, if you arn't going all the way no need.

Yep then you got confused... remember these questions about ceramic coating?

If you read the article, it will talk about ceramic coating in general, they were using the Jet Hot for their test. You might just learn something.

First of all, you're being a ****. Second of all, from your article:

Tested on Westech’s SuperFlow dyno, the engine made about the same power and torque with both painted and Jet-Hot–coated header sets (see table). The numbers varied by less than 1 percent, within the dyno’s margin of error.
In theory, the coating really does work better! However, on a 425hp engine they saw basically no difference between painted headers and jet-hot coated headers.

Let me remind you again that the ORIGINAL question in the FIRST post was about Pacesetter's ceramic coating and not their jet-hot coating. I'm trying to help this guy with my opinion. You can do the same and give him your opinion. And (theoretically) you can have the restraint to let me give my opinion even though it differs from yours.

I think it would work better if they used a car with an engine compartment on it, not an engine dyno. There might be a couple more %s to it.

I'm not being a "****". I'm showing you that your opinions are not based on facts. It takes a second or two to do some research that might help. I think facts would be more helpful, that's my opinion.

              Re: Ceramic Headers Worth It?

In the article they stated that the temperatures of the jet-hot headers were significantly lower than those of the painted headers. They ran so cool, in fact, that they were able to touch the headers "5-7 minutes" after they shut off the engine. So even on the dyno, there was enough heat around the engine to manifest a 50% difference in surface header temps. In spite of the fact that the jet-hots weren't as hot, there was still no power difference.
