3800 Series Camaro Intake System
I have a 96' 3800 series Camaro with dual flowmaster (not true dual) and was wanting to put a K&N Cold Air Intake on it. A friend of mine told me about Corvettes having a Twin Air Intake system and that I should get one placed on my car and put dual Cold-Air. Is this possible and if it is then will that increase the power and/or gas mileage? Another thing, could it possibly hurt my engine with 2 Cold-Air Intake systems by making the engine too cold?

I've never heard of dual CAIs on a camaro. I saw it on a viper once.. You won't have to worry about your engine getting too cold, the more intake the better:)
I mostly think it would be unecessary. I would assume your friend is talking about the new corvettes with the LS7s, and that viper i saw with the 8.0L, those cars have huge engines and could benifit from the extra CAI. I just wouldn't think you would be getting anything more out of dual CAIs, and you would most likely have to fabricate it yourself. -

Dual cold air would be overkill. You can find a ram air or cold air package for our cars that would be just as efficent as you constructing your own dual CAIComment

the slp has 2 tubes, so its pretty much the same thing.Comment

you could piece something together but you could just make a single tube system or buying somthing and see the same gains and gas mileage increase. You defintaly do not have to worry about making your engine too cold. I don't know who told you that but no.Comment

isn't the slp twin intake for the 98+'s? either way any cai works the same as long as it's a caiComment
