headers/wires

so im having my headers installed, and i got a message from the guy today saying that 2 of my plug wires rub against the headers, and that apparently the old style work better...
is there an older, stock wire that fits better, or is it better to just upgrade to aftermarket?
(i dont have time to change them, how stupid is it to drive 450 miles with them touching?)

edit: move it if its the wrong section... sorry. started the topic thinking about headers, then realised that it has very little to do with intake/exhaust.

well if they rub they can burn and cause the car to mis-fire. i believe also the 90 deg boots are the best application for cars w/ headers

dude, its not harm to move the stupid things out of the way. besides if its completely impossible to move them from rubbing then go get some aluminum foil and wrap it around the part where the wires are touching and ull be fine

fury's right about the foil, that'll work if your nervious. i think you need to get 90* wire's now. try to just tie them out of the way as best you can.

well, matt from HSW called me and told me they went and got me some new wires... so that problem is solved. lol.
