What I mean is ported exhaust manifolds. Has anyone ported and polished their factory manifolds istead of getting headers? Its a cheap alternative many of the W-body guys do, and it has decent gains as well reducing knock retard. Just curious if anyone has done it to their F-body.

dont think it would be worth it because the pre 2000 (i think its 2000) are worthless chunks of crap. in 2000 they switched to tubular manifolds which werent that bad, but the old log manifolds suck. there is a pic floating around here comparing them to headers. when i changed mine i was shocked at how restrictive they were. and HEAVY.
