Today I went to do my monthly intake cleaning, and I found a couple ounces or so of oil in my Throttle body and intake tubing.... Is this just blowby? Is this normal? should I get a new PCV valve, or try out a oil catch can? Oil catch cans are cheap and I heard that they are effective on certain cars....Having oil there will not affect my engine will it?
Also, within the next month or so I plan on putting in the catch can which ill buy soon....
this isnt my area of expertise, and i dont have any experience with these catch can things. but a few OUNCES of oil doesnt sound good. the only thing i could think of woul dbe when you oil your oil filter (if you have a reusable filter like k&n) that you put too much oil in there and its leaking somehow? i dont know but good luck with your problem
