what brand gives out the loudest sound for an 3.8L(v6 firebird.)?

also with headers or without headers.

Pacesetter headers, then any 2.5 in system with no cat and no muffler would be the answer to your question.

otherwise probably Borla wiht headers.

if you want loud. get headers and a flowmaster 80 series muffler (not the catback, just the muffler). thats what i had before i got my borla catback (a lot A LOT quieter than the flowmaster, but sounded better) but remember... the flowmaster muffler and headers only, sounded horrible, but it was LOUD, which is what you are asking for.

if you want the best and loudest sound.. you chose the wrong car. your best bet is getting a 3" wide open catback including headers, and getting a cutout. but its all about how you wana spend your $$

back to your original question... headers always makes it louder. and the cheapest way to get a really loud v6 is simply to add a cutout. 50 bucks installed roughly.

this thread is dangerously close to dying a swift and painless death. nilly, theres a sticky at the top of this sub forum that has about 20 odd exhaust clips. search that. before you ask any question, please search. theres a great lil button up top too. it gets annoying after a while constantly answering the same questions.

yeah thats right^. i do appologize for anyones time for this post but i just would like some advice and insight from the majority of the people who own a 3.8L engine. im not really asking "what sounds best?" im really asking " what do MOST people think sounds the best?"

loudmouth and tsp rumbler are probably the loudest. ive heard each on v6s and they both sounded pretty damn good.

listen to the exhaust clips. getting the loudmouth will probably get you the loudest sound with at least some control over the tone.

I was previously deemed best sounding and loudest exhaust on the board.

I have a 3.8 with RK Sport headers with a 2.5" straight pipe all the way back to an 80 series flowmaster, tips make a difference too. I have 2.5" tips.

For pure loudness, I have a cutout dumping right before the axle. It sounds badass with the GT2 cam lope and the cutout open

I can try to. My computer sux so i dont know. If you listen to the clip of the guy with the GT2 cam and open headers, it sounds similar but its not as barky.

If you want the loudest, make custom headers, and leave the rest off the car.
