I am thinking about ordering a whisper lid and the holley powershot filter package. I see alot of members have these as a must have mod. Are there noticable gains in throttle response? Also, does having a high performance filter really make that big of a difference?
I liked mine when i first got it, sounded so much better than the sotck intake.
A new filter isnt needed but reccomended. THe stock one lets alot through IMO.
I went ahead and ordered the holly filter with it. Sucks i had to get the carbon fiber though. They were outta black, had to pay 159.00 for all of it, which isn't too bad though.
thunder is by far the cheapest. the lid itself is normally 99, opposed to 120 or something from the other sites. the carbon fiber should look nice. if you had the money (as you obviously did, because you already bought it) it is worth the little bit extra.
2002 SOM Camaro- Sold
2006 S60- Sold
2000 Cherokee- The desert whip
I just installed one of these on my 02'. It's carbon fiber. l left it laying around for a while and wasn't going to bother. But in the end, I'm VERY happy that I did. It looks REAL nice and it helped with throttle response A LOT. The car was a slug before. Now it's got some nice pickup to it. I also took out the maf screen. So maybe that has something to do with it too. Can't do that on the 96'. The idle gets fouled up. Seems to be fine with the 02'.
Haven’t done anything on the Camaro, but put LEDs on my truck headlights . And my oil pressure sensor went out on the truck so going to fix that this...
