S-pipe

If I remember right our stock pipes were 2.25in dimaeter. Ive decided to go ahead and do a 2.5in s-pipe into my borla catback. Does anyone make a s-pipe for our car, or do you have to custom make one at an exhastu shop?

slp makes an S pipe but its not 2.5, or you can get a U bend from jegs or summit and make one that way ( much cheaper ) but any exhuast shop can fab one up for a fraction of the cost of the slp kit.

probably 3". my sticky does state that SLP is the only company who makes one. other than that is you custom work.

Well since I go from a 2.5in straght pipe to the stock s-pipe, by switching it to a 3in S-pipe into my Borla which is 3in I know that would be less restrictive. However, would I gain anythign form it at all and what would it do to the sound of it?

the slp s pipe IS 3 inch, but steps down to around 2 and 5/8's or so, it was just a quick measure when i first got it.

you could always get a 3"in/out cat or straight pipe and then the S pipe and everything will be 3" and be easy to install.


you might notice it being slightly louder going from the stock S, but it might not even be noticable.

I already had a 2.5in straight pipe, no cat. I wont be puting one back on eihter unless I get a ticket or somethin. I do want to swtich out the S-pipe thogh. So then by using the SLP s pipe it will choke the exhaust some since it steps down?

I got a 2.5 inch S-pipe, from MagnaFlow when I ordered my Cat-Back.

off hand, have any of you guys tried using 2 45* bends instead of 2 90* bends.

I know I did that on my 3.4L just seems like it would flow better. I had a shop fab it up and didn't have any clearance issues.

Decent pricing on the SLP pipe and hardware. Says fits 93-95 model LT1's but u guys say it will fit on our newer six-packs. Should this fit up ok on my Borla cuz Im htinking the Loudmouths I-pipe starts in the same diamter as the Borla.

it will fit your six banger. Lt1 piping follows the same line as ours
