i think i am going to ditch the cat, just in case my o2 sensor was actually correct, but my delimma is should i just do a straight pipe, or get a resonator? i think i have a flowmaster, not sure of the series, and i really dont care about emissions, mainly because indiana doesn't

I have a 2.5in straight pipe in place of my cat. So id go with a straight pipe.

just put a bullet muffler in there, its a straight through design so it wouldnt hinder much flow, tone down some rasp, and still look somewhat like a cat if they did a visual inspection

straight pipe - more power than bullet ( very slight if your mostly stock ) but will be more raspy than a bullet. straight pipe will be cheaper too, either way your going to make more power and your exhuast will get louder.

if you get exhaust and you exhaust sounds a lil ricey up top ask you performance shop if they can weld a softener on the end, it will deff sound better

I went with the catco 3 inch cat, made a 3 inch s pipe to a 2.5 reducer and at first I bolted on a 2.5 straight pipe. Not bad, sounded good, but ricey and raspy like no other. Bolted on the flowmaster resonator (its a square thing that is attached to the I pipe) and rasp is very minimal. Of course a v6 will sound ricey no matter what you do. Idle sounds real good with an 80 series.
