well, the big cruise day is here. i was cruising last night b4 it started raining and i saw more than a few mustang cobras or w/e with the side exit exhaust... it looks like a body kit, but right behind the doors the exhaust comes out. is there any way of doing that on our cars?

    yes.

I have a mustang like that I'm my neighborhood, its pretty cool looking. I have seen some z28s around here take a truck side exhaust plate/tip and use that. they just cut a hole in the shape they needed and mounted the plate with a tip in it. didn't look nearly as good as the mustangs but if you got a body kit and had it modified professionally it would probably look cool.

I've thought of doin this...but had a thought and i think now would be a good time to get an answer on it.....some rice burners with those tips that angle up and lil bit they start to black the bumper over time...with the exhaust pointing out like that would it start to color the bodypiece its near and possibly make that rear wheel hard to keep clean?

        Re: side exit exhaust

I have a couple of pics saved of the side exhaust on a camaro. One is of the set-up and the other is on the car. I have to go get online with my laptop and upload them since the pics are not on this computer. Anyways the mustangs with the side exhaust are Roush mustangs and all three stages of them come with that exhaust.

by lookin at it i would say..get the body kit and get a set of chrome z28 tips. Have the bodykit modified to be a snug fit around the tips and should look pretty good. But from the pics of them here id also say Mustangs look better w/ side exit..i hate saying it but its true.

I think the ground effects make all the diffrence.

i think side exhaust on a camaro looks way out of place.

yea it does but ive seen worse especialy when someone tries to do sidepipes like an old vette. i might do that to my 86 t/a just because im going to run trueduals anyway and since i have gfx it might not look too bad.
