  • DAMN Pacesetters.....

I finally got around to installing the rest of the pacesetter headers and 4 O2 sensors I needed to get back on the Firebird, but I ran into a problem with the install on the Pacesetters.

As I was installing the y-pipe on the drivers side, I ran into a problem with the 2 flange bolts. They seemed to be too long for that side. I compared all of them together, and the 4 flange bolts are all the same length. The passenger side flanges bolted good between the header and the y-pipe, but the drivers side, it seemed as though those bolts were too long. Im thinking that I could get some washers to make up for the length, so that the nuts can tighted ok to the flanges, but I am not real sure about doing that. Or possibly getting shorter bolts for that side.

Has anyone else had that problem with the pacesetters? Maybe the flange on the y-pipe was too large. Im not real sure...any help would be appreciated.

yea common problem, people usually just use washers to make it all work. Or you can run to the hardware and get some bolts with threads all the way

I know this is focusing on the wrong part of the topic, but what's with the 4 O²'s? What you got going on there? I only have 2 on my 95.
