ok im really getting tired of waiting for my catco cat to come from summit, its been like 2.5 weeks, i got my cutout in like 2 days and i was wondering if i just put a straight pipe where the cat is suppose to be would it sound okay?? i have the 3.8 with 40 series flowmaster catback, and if you have sound clips that'd be great

it would sound great, but dont plan on passing emissions, if you have them there.

itd be louder and raspyer than a hi-flow cat, and udlose98 is right about emissons.

i ordered my 3" catco from summit too and got it in i think 3 days. ( might have been 2 even )

it shouldnt, just as long as he keeps the O2 in the exhaust, he will be fine. He would only need an O2 sim. if the O2 was removed completely.

well the shop that did my catback said it wouldnt run right if i put a straight pipe where the cat goes and then i called my buddy with a 01 mustang that has custom true duals with no cats and called up his exhaust guy and he didnt say anything about it not running right...! it'll eventually throw a code though right? but it'll be okay?

thats what i meant, some cats have o2 bungs, others dont. you can run a straight pipe and it will run fine, and you wont even throw a code if you get a 02 sim.( $30 or so )

no it wont be ok, if you go with straight pipe you need to get an O2 Sim.

ok just got it done on friday and the guy left the post cat sensor IN the exhaust, do i just need to disconnect it and put on the sim..?

P.S.- i stopped at a stop sign bye the kid with the nicest and loudest mustang GT in town and him and some ricer kid kinda giggle and said "YEEEAH!! ha ha" when i stopped (and of coarse i opened up my cutout right before i left home) and i stepped on the gas a little to take off and there faces do a little thing like this:eek: and they went back into his garage lmao! it was halarious!!
