a picture is worth a 1,000 words? we'll see about that. heres a pic of the o2 sensor. see at the end, that blue peice? the o2 sim plugs into that. now, i dont know how yours is going to work now,becuase the o2 sim plugs into the part that hangs down from the car.if your o2 sensor is connected to that, the o2 sim cant. i guess you can let the o2 sensor dangle in the breeze, it'll get burned, but you dont need it anyway.



i just relized i explained it all anyway, but theres the pic none the less. i dont have the o2 senor on my car at all, its still on the stock one. all i have is the o2 sim plugged in, i think thats what your sopossed to do.

Not to thread jack, but maybe he has this question also...The o2 sim prevents you from throwing a emissions code right? Where I live they only check the diagnostic port and gas cap for emissions. So with the o2 sim plugged in I would pass emissionseven with out a cat?

yea you'd pass, but are you sure they dont do a quick visual check? the diagonstic just checks to see if you have a SES light on, and why. so yes, you would pass just fine. its $30 item and takes seriously 4 seconds to do.

Yeah you simply unplug the wire from your old exhaust and plug the sim in. I just let it hang. My SES light is on for ~5 minutes every time I start the car cold, but after that it goes off. When its warm out or its been running SES light is off.

they sure dont do a visual check here. just yesterday i passed the obd II check here in stl with no EGR (zzp egr sim), and an o2 sim after an catco cat, not to mention an open cutout just for the fun of it.

i wish PA that was that nice about it, they're not real strict you can find some one to pass pretty much anything. now they're cracking down on cars with out air bags that are sopossed to have them, i dont care about cats, i dont ever plan on not having one, too raspy with out one anyway. kinda funny there's state like your's, and then you got cali, the complete opposite.

i havent gotten and SES light come on yet, cold or not. but my exhuast hasnt been on long, it wouldnt suprise me if it came on after a while.
