so whats the best thing for a 96 3.8 v6 cat aftermarket cat or no cat at all? and what does changin the cat do? also my flowmaster 40 dual really doesnt sound that great 2 me is it just cuz its a v6 or is it somthin else?:twak:

anyways, You will not pass emmissions (if you have them) without a cat.
Changing a cat to a high flow cat, does just that, you take out the restrictive stock cat and replace with a higher free flowing cat.
and as to why it doesnt sound good? Im not a fan of flow master, dont really like the sound myself.
