    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ept6qsR8V6M

    -GT2 Cam (216/216 .507/.507 111 LSA)

    -2.5" exhaust, Flowmaster 80

    -No cat

I think it still sounds like *** up top, but I think the placement of my cutout (which is rusted shut) is causing it. When I get that fixed I will take some drive by clips and post them. For now, I'll be content with the neutral rev.

I like how it sounds I wouldn't minne my car sounding like that if I get that sound then I will be done with my exhaust but I am not putting no cam on my car

Re: Finally: Sound clip with cam

i love everyone posting up sound clips, gets me so :excited: ( if only i could get mine up here now, then i'd be cool too ) also glad everyone's using youtube, sence's its the only site that works for me recently.

cold start? exhausts usaully sound better once they warm up. and even more so with cammed cars. start-up and idle sounds amazing, seems to lope pretty nice. how high did you rev it? honestly, for a cammed car im kinda disapointed, maybe its just your camera. kristens car sounded WAAAAYYY better in person than the clip on here, maybe its just cammed cars.

you can't really compare a sound clip to hearing it in person, with any car.

The car is fairly warm in the clip. I need a better exhaust system though.

oh tell me about it, my car sounds different too. so did kristens. i think the fact that the system is 2.5" is whats making the big difference.

I read kristen's cardomain: she has pacesetters and 3" and those two should make a huge difference. If I had it to do over I would do 3" but headers are one of the lowest priorities on my list for my car, just because there's so much else I'd rather do.

Seems to have a decent lope with the cam , but Flowmasters on our cars I think sounds like doodoo. No offense of course. Ive also heard Flowmasters can result in loss of power than gaining it. One reason I got rid of the muffler I had ont he car original after I bought her new off the floor. I now have a Borla cat-back and wouldnt change it for anything else. Just my 2 cents.

Borla is way overpriced or I might have gone that way a long time ago. I was thinking about an SLP loudmouth 3" setup. Any thoughts on how that would sound?

The Flowmaster actually sounded pretty damn good before I got the cat removed. Now it just sounds like crap up top.

i agree on the price of borla. if you want to go loud id get the rumbler > LM. rumbler sounds better,a tad quiter, and sound better.

honestly, i NEVER thought id say this. but kristen's flowmaster actually sounded good. even at 5500+ rpms there was no rasp ( that i heard anyway) didnt crackle and pop when she left off ( like my rumbler does ) it sounded great, surprised the heck out of me. you could get a 3" flowmaster kit, then do a resonator by-pass like she did too and your should sound good. magnaflow might be something to consider too, sounds better than flowmaster from the car's ive heard, but it wont crackle and pop like the rumbler and LM will when you let off after you give it some gas ( like 3500+ rpms, but my system isnt broken in at all, doesnt even have 20 miles on it yet )

Your exhaust shouldn't pop once it's actually broken in. I'd give it at least 10k miles before making a judgment on the sound. My Flowmaster sounded pretty good before I had the cat delete, then it seems like this kind of ruined it.

I might take your advice and do that resonator bypass. 3" will come later. The pop is already starting to lessen anyway.
