beestly- i can actually feel air coming out of my egr... so check that out. otherwise, i get a loud, fast clicking from around 1500RPMS ==>
I'll have to do the "breeze" test... I get the tapping whenever I get on the thottle (seems like at any point in the rpm band), or if the cruise-control is engaged and I'm on an inclined stretch of road.
I may just go ahead and the block-off plate... I'll see if I can get a little lawn-mower air-filter to work on the EGR-tube.
Thanks Kindly - Beestly
I've got dreams bigger than my wallet can handle. :work:
Or you if when you got yoru car tuned you can turn off the EGR system. Then take out the whole EGR unit thus reducing a little weight and it will make the engine bay look a little cleaner. You wil still need the block off plate for your header though. I have mine turned off and Im gonna take out the unit soon as I order a block off plate.
i took my egr off last friday. My car runs about 6-8* cooler now. I deleted the code with hp tuners and used the zzp block off plates. I might weld on my plate to my header because I do have a slight tick from it. I had some trouble getting the bolt tight without the plate spinning
