Alright here's the deal: I bought a camaro with one mod done to it: CAI. I don't konw what brand it is though, so if any of you recognize it, help me out..
thanks, i kinda wanna if it's quality or if it's some cheap crap or whatever.
seeing the engine bay pics, i noticed a bunch of things were polished on most engine bays, what do you guys use to shine up the a/c condenser? i assume you have to sand down the alternator to shine it up right?
you might notice also that i'm missing the clip that holds the lid on, where can i get one of those, it's just the push in type with the insert, i have the other one..
yes they did and there is a sticky on in the apperance section.
I don't think I have ever seen that kit. Its seems to be a normal CAI but oddly enough going into a silencer box. That is definalty aftermarket though. What year is you car?

Ya. It looks to me like someone just took the factory filter box off and put a cone filter in it's place. Cheap way for a intake. Not the best, but better then stock. I'd get a different one if I were you. And, if you get a different one, you won't need the other little clip. But, if you want, I'll give you mine. I'm missing the same one on mine, but I've got a CAI in the mail. Once it gets here and I get it installed, I'll send you the clip if you pay the shipping.
Yeah its just the filter, i had the same set up on mine. then I got the SLP CAI and it was a very noticeable difference. Beware of recharging it, that you dont get oil near where it connects, it made mine very prone to fall off, and my motor sucked up dirty air until i noticed it. but at least its better than stock
O'. Can't exactly say I was aware the intake system on the 93-97 looked like that. Not many people posts pics of stock intakes and I never thought to look so i guess i figured it was similar to the 98+. That totally threw me off :o
yea someone just ditched the stock airbox and through a cone filter on where the box was. Not really any better there. That setup is all stock yet except the filter.
alright then, help me out here, to me it looks just like a cai, so what's the difference? I get what your saying about the stock box being gone and replaced with a filter, but what exactly makes a cold air intake a cold air intake?
