Exhaust questions! IMPORTANT

Ok need a mean sounding exhaust (97 3.8 5speed) What would ya'll suggest? What about replacing cat with a glasspak (as a resonator) an run a magnaflow exhaust but dumped directly after muffler?

you wont get far with the idea of a mean exhaust since its a 6 but listen to the exhaust clips in the stickies for this forum and get an idea of what you like. I wont lock this down yet cause your a local but do some searching

haha, i opened this, excited because it said "important".

but realistically, you wont make it sound mean without like... at least $1200. you would need to do headers, y-pipe, highflow cat, s-pipe, and a nice catback. even then it sounds ricey in the high rpm's.

flowmaster on my 3.8L sounds great. i kept the piping, just changed out mufflers. But yeah, for a v6 its gonna has some rasp. I'd say get a flowmaster or loudmouth.
