what is this sound?

^^ this is a clip of 98 3.8's exhaust i found in the exhaust clips section..
about the second rev is a harsh sound. sounds like metal vibrating against metal.
my exhaust does the exact same thing when i rev. what is that sound? is there any way to get rid of it? i'm planning on getting 2.75 or 3" piping from my headers all the way back. is that gonna help any?

I have the same thing with my 3" magnaflow cat-back. I want to install a resonator or cherry bomb in order to tone it down some.
