98 Whisper Lid

Will the 98 Whisper Lid fit the 99-up models. Is it the same size just a different connection angle to the tb? I have an 01 and I bought a 98 whisper lid and i figured it would fit with minor modifications

I think the offset if abit different. The 98's lid has the place for the elbow off (don't know the name of the thing. It's where you hook the rubber hose, connecting the lid to the TB) to the side, while the 99+'s are in the center.

Key word here is THINK! I don't own a 98, and don't plan on it for awhile, so I'm just going by what I THINK

Well both are offset somewhat, I am just wondering if they are the same size i guess, if so I think I could fab something up to work.

the angle is alot different but i think they are the same diameter.

BTW the lid fits on an 01 perfect fit.

what did you modify? It wasnt a real 98 lid if it hooked up no problem.

I just used a dryer vent style hose that came with the 98 kit, no mods at all.

Yeah, I was gonna say. I have a 98 with a whisper lid and it's just a piece of uninsulated duct that connects the lid to the throttle body, since it's angled. It should be able to flex in whatever direction you need to, distance permitting.
