Im going to purchase either a MagnaFlow or CatCo converter here pretty quick. Only thing is Im debating size. Im pretty sure I might go with 3" in/out but Im afraid it'll just be too much for my stock exhaust. The Stock converter for a 3.8 is 3" in and 2.25 out right? If I go 3" it will also have more rasp correct? Im also replacing just the muffler witha 80 series, but Im waiting to buy the cat first.

3" is best bet, u might want to upgrade the rest later down the road anyway. rasp ? you wont notice anything by going to the 3"

Yes, so if I get a 3" Catco or Magnaflow will there be a noticable difference compared to stock? And like I said, is the stock Ypipe 3"?

What should be done with the codes I will get from the O2 Sensor? Wouldnt I have to invest in an O2 Simulator?

Yes, very simple for an exhaust shop. When they did mine last month they just made a small reducer and welded it into place. I went with the Magnaflow Carsound High Flow Cat.

Your lucky, all the exhaust shops around my area are, we'll say, less then willing to change out cats, due to emmisions here in GA.

Actually when I bought this car it did not have a cat. I installed one because when I installed the Flowmaster it was way too loud. The high flow cat tamed the sound quite a bit. But yes, it is nice not having any emissions testing here in FL. I am originally from NY, and the testing is very tough there.
