Im going to purchase either a MagnaFlow or CatCo converter here pretty quick. Only thing is Im debating size. Im pretty sure I might go with 3" in/out but Im afraid it'll just be too much for my stock exhaust. The Stock converter for a 3.8 is 3" in and 2.25 out right? If I go 3" it will also have more rasp correct? Im also replacing just the muffler witha 80 series, but Im waiting to buy the cat first.

3" is best bet, u might want to upgrade the rest later down the road anyway. rasp ? you wont notice anything by going to the 3"1997 Camaro LS1 RS

i know this is an old post but if i bought a 3inch in/out cat how would it fit on my car if the stock cat is 3in/2.25 out? is that jsut a simple thing an exhaust installer can fix?
