Different throttle body types

I have two throttle bodies from a 93-97 3800 that are different. One has a single linkage and one is a double acting linkage thing with two levers. Is one for auto and one for manual transmission or what?

I bought a throttle cable bracket from another car and when I install the stock throttle cables they seem to follow the offset for the multi-linkage throttle body but not the one I want to use. I would assume then there are also two different throttle cable brackets also? I'll put up some pics later.

if it has positions for two linkages, it was intended for a car equipped with cruise control.

I want to use the single-arm style but it looks like my throttle cable bracket was designed for the double-arm throttle body. What is this change all about? Was it a certain year they switched or was it based on something else? Looks like both have provisions for cruise. I have some pics I will put up

This shows two different part numbers for TBs with manual and auto transmissions. So I guess I would need someone to confirm and to tell me which one is which???
