IMO, thats a waste of money. You can get a whisper lid and a high flow filter and get the same results for less then half of that price.1998 Camaro V6 \"Black Mamba\"<br />Y87<br />Whisper Lid w/ K&N filter<br />Flowmaster American Thunder<br />Numerous appearance mods.<br /> <a href=\"http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2154172\" target=\"_blank\">Car Domain</a>

Sup Julian!
its me Gilbert... i see you made it on camarov6.. welcome!
Glad to see the population of San Jose members increasing.
As for your question, yeah there is a K&N FIPK for the 1995-1997 3.8L's, as shown above. i suggest the slp cai (cold air intake), they cost about the same.. but the SLP CAI looks better, comes with dual (2) filters cones and is made out from powder coated 304 stainless steel. which is better than the plastic tubing the K&N consists of. heres a link.. http://www.slponline.com/view_produc...13&BIG=21013-1 probably can find it cheaper else where, just gotta search. let me know if you have any Questions and you know where to reach me. pics of the SLP CAI..
pic installed on '96 camaro (loochy88)...
i have this one i have tho..
Stg 3 Chrome full intake off of ebay, if you want a chrome finish look.
GOOD LUCK!!

Re: K&N FIPK for 3.8L???
Intakes from the 5.7 and 3.4 will fit the 3.8. All you need is the LT1 elbow to put it on. I have the moroso intake on my car ATM. If you're tight on money, instead of getting an elbow for $70, go buy a reducing 90* elbow and a 3" coupler. That's how mine's on, and it's on there good and tight. It's a snug fit, but it's in there.~97 3.8L V6 Camaro~

Re: K&N FIPK for 3.8L???
They have different versions of the kit. The one you have sounds like teh stage 1 kit. Instead of hooking right up to your throttle body, it goes right after the silencer on the car. The Stage 2 si similar to what you have, but it's 2 peices and goes deeper into the fenderwell. Then, the stage 3 is a complete intake.
Damn, and I payed the extra $15 dollars for what I thought was the stage 3 kit.

Re: K&N FIPK for 3.8L???
hey guys, sorry to bring this thread from the grave, but i just got my brand new k&n fipk from fed ex this morning and i had some questions. It is part no 5730101 K&N FIPK gen 2. it says its for 93-95 3.4Ls and 93-97 5.7Ls, and i have a 96 3.8L. So i was wondering if anyone else has put the exact same cai on their 3.8??? I know many have already aid that it will indeed work, but the following makes me question:
