does anyone know what this would sound like with this piece in place of the muffler. i had a cut out once, but decided it was much too loud in the car, not where i wanted it, outside. heres the piece http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Camar...37548266QQrdZ1

thats just a piece of straight pipe that goes to dual exhuast tips.

your car would be incredibly loud and possibly vibrate ALOT

I had one of those on my 3.4. It was loud! At startup it sounded sweet. After about 3k rpm it started sounding like it was burning rice and you were straining the piss out of it.

u would lose an insane amount of power...there'd be no decent back flow to maintain the engine
i think my 2.5in flowmaster cat back with stock manifolds is to open

I went from having that (open exhaust after the cat) to putting a glasspack on and I felt a loss in horsepower after putting the glasspack on. Your stock cat should pretty much give you enough back pressure.

but do you think it would be too loud in the car? cause thats why i got rid of the cut-out in the first place. i just dont want the sound in the car. and i never really take it over 3K anyways, just when in drifting or goofing around.

no i mena i kno it would be loud after the cat, but would it be loud with this pipe, so the sound would go out after the car and through the tips?

                  Re: "open exhaust"

if u put this in place of ur tranverse muffler(parallel to axle)

you would have just a piece of straight pipe that goes to dual exhuast tips.

your car would be incredibly loud and possibly vibrate ALOT...

                  idk what ur asking

A loud, thundering exhaust is aswesome, that's why I have the Flowmaster 80 Series, but I just can't stand to have my car rasp and gasp like it was overlabored . . . from what I've learned a cut out on a v6 sounds like a tinny rasp.

well instead of having a muffler, it would just have the pipe. so there would be no muffler.

stock piping just gettind ride of the muffler? still have the stock cat? if yes for both of those then it wont be too loud, it'd be bareable for DD. but keep in mind my idea of whats loud might not be the same for you.

edit: where did you have the cut-out when you had it?
