    Re: "open exhaust"

i had the cut out right after the cat. and no, i have tubular headers, a hi flo cat, and 3 inch tubing. so it might be too loud. should i just go wiht an 80's series flomaster? or do you have any other suggestion on mufflers?
i liked the sound of the cut out, it was just too loud RIGHT under the car. i figured this wa it would be outside the car and through the tips so it wouldent be so loud.

that is exactly wut i did, sounds not tht great, better now then in the video, but yeah a local shop just took my muffler off, added tubing n pipes for $140. But as to what someone said, i didnt notice and difference really when putting my exhaust on, u think if i get flowmasters i will gain some due to more backpressure?

ya you will for sure gain some back preassure. i went and talked to the guy at my local shop that ive been using and he said for 70 bucks he would make me a Y pipe and do it. so it would be soming like the rumbler. but cheaper and wiht no resonator. i dont care that much about the back preassure because when i wanna get up and run, i do it above 3K, which is where the power band is. when im just DD, i keep it below 2700K
