I tried to do a search on thsi and it returned over 200 results. I don't have time to search through all of the result so I figured I would just ask. I have read several times that the Throttle Bodies on the 3.4L v6 were designed too small. I was reading on another web page that you could take the throttle body off of a v8 trans am/ camarl and put it on the 3.4 v6 motors. Is this true? If so will it really help performance and how hard would it be to do?

Re: Quick question about 3.4 Throttle Body.
its not that easy. its a custom job, you'll have to have the TB welded to the intake plenum. IMO not worth the time unless youre going FI with it.
i think ben (white95) has some pics of it on here somewhere or they might be on his cardomain.
current car- 95 Trans am- bolt ons, parked and collecting dust. why? because **** it

Re: Quick question about 3.4 Throttle Body.
The front of the upper intake manifold is cut off and a new housing for the TBI/LT1 throttle body is fabricated.

There are some minor modifications you can make to the stock TB to increase airflow. Unless you've done some head work and added a cam you shouldn't need much more than that.1994 Firebird 3.4
15.65 @ 86.8
funkz.net/firebird
Timeslips

Re: Quick question about 3.4 Throttle Body.
you could always go to the junkyard and pick up the throttle plate/blade out of a ho quad4 tb (its 56mm vs the 3.4 52mm) and have a machine shop bore your 3.4 tb out to fit itWolf
95 black t-top camaro,3.4 5 speed,ud pullies,plugs/wires,de-shaft tb & gutted airbox, homemaid short throw shifter
