When I was a noob to the modding world I had my full exhaust, headers, and Fuel Pressure regulator done for like $500-$600. IN all fairness they did use 2 mexicans to prop the motor up while the bolted the headers on. Looking back I WISH! i woulda done it, they did a terrible job on the exhaust.
How risky is it, I REALLY cant afford to break a bolt. 97RS scared me a little bcuz in his writeup it says "this bolt usually breaks on people"
If a bolt is gonna break, it' gonn break on whomever is trying to remove it. A mechanics wrench turns the same way your does. Maybe soaking the bolts with WD-40 or PB Blaster the night before will help.
The only good thing about having it at a mechanics shop with a broken bolt is they have the equipment to lift the motor (or remove the head) and tap out the broken bolt. If you have those tools, then go for it yourself.
also i wouldnt agree wit the fact that a bolt "usually" breaks, the "bolts" you are reffering to are actually studs. Just take your time with them, I had no problem when I removed mine, Just make sure you replace them with brand new header bolts.
Instead of paying hundreds on having them install it, go buy a broken bolt removal tool that fits on a drill from an auto parts place. There like $9 at most.
