Re: No EGR
My car has like 3 codes right now, all of which I know about and planned for. As long as you don't mind running a little rich, or mind the SES light on, don't worry about it. Think about it this way... if you put a flamethrower kit on, it'd just be that much more epic.
You should worry if your state has emissions checks though.2002 Silver Metallic A4 Firebird - All Options

Re: No EGR
will throw a code. I deleted mine and then got rid of the code with hp tuners. Runs just as good as before

Re: No EGR
the egr doesn't lower intake temp, instead it fills the cylinders with COx (think that is what it is called) which takes up spaces and helps burn all the gas and air mixture. Exhaust is hotter than incoming air into the intake. Removing the egr actually lowered my engine temps by 6-8*.

Re: No EGR
i agree that no egr lowers intake temps and like you said it does fill the combustion chamber with a gas but since its already burnt it doesnt burn again making the temp of the combustion chamber cooler because of a smaller fire i believe it will make a little more power all im saying is you going to loose a little timing i guess there really wasnt a point

If you are looking for gas mileage - do Not touch it. You will loose 1MPG if not more and you wouldnt gain any power. If this is good deal - go ahead and do it.
Will throw about 3+ different codes in a while.
