    Re: slp Loudmouth

if you are uncertain about your product choice you should ask yourself not your peers. do some research find out which one has the sound you like the most. i personally love the sound of my 3" edelbrock set up. theres a clip floating around somewhere on here. honestly i dont car for the loudmouth exhaust... its gross and raspy at lower rpms than many other exhaust systems that i have heard.

look around. find what you want. post up a sound clip!

the loudmouth is a good choice, if you can deal with it being VERY loud. you can still talk on a phone in the car( if your easy on the gas ) its a little harder than it is now. outside the car, standing next to the car its hard to carry on a convo over the phone. its loud, its going to pop/crackle when you give it alot of gas and then let off completly.

look around for a system...LM is a good system but its gonna kill ur power down low cuz of it being a 3 inch exhaust...magnaflow catbacks arnt to bad either...i have a flow muffler and it sounds decent but i want to upgrade to a full catback soon...just look around to c what other options u have and not jump on the first 1...u might regret it later

i dont think i lost anything down low ( i have the rumbler ) but i did swap out the bullet for a sweet-thunder, which deffinatly helped.

                  Re: slp Loudmouth

I particularly don't like the loudmouth because, well it's just too darn loud for my taste, but as someone mentioned above, it is your exhaust and should be what you like, not what we like. If I could persuade you in any way though, I would suggest that you try to find a sound clip of a 2.5" or 3" edelbrock exhaust setup as I love the sound of it, or flowmaster, though at times the flowmaster seems to get a little too loud especially if you have a headache or anything :(.

The best of luck to you and I hope that you find the right exhaust system for you.

                  Sincerely,
                  Justin

do we really lose that much down low? cuz i thought about just buying the muffler, putting it on my i-pipe and cutting my exhaust off after the rear axle..

the power loss is often a misconception, the amount of backpressure needed to run is very minimal. the car makes the same amount of power it just makes it more efficiently and smoothly so it doesnt feel like the same kick with a smaller diameter pipe.
