I know its illegal, but around here we never have emissions.. so i was wondering, if i were to gut the cat on my 95 camaro (3.8 liter) would it be louder, sound deeper, or add any power?

It would sound louder when gunning it and deeper at idle. As for any hp gain I would say very minimal, unless you don't have a high flow cat on there right now. If you still have the stock cat. then yes, gutting it out will add a few hp upon completion. If you do have a high flow cat then gutting it out will not give you very much of a gain if any.

I went from stock to straight pipe, highly recommended. loud and deep.

You want loudness? Cut that baby off right before your cat. converter :naughty:

I'm just kidding, don't do that. But, it is a free option. :)

Any decrease in restriction will generally net an increase in volume
